January 29 A New Definition of Self Reliance

The Racial Justice Task Group has focused its efforts this year on the public school system in Rochester as an area with great potential for creating change. This service will highlight the work of the task group and explore underlying ideas that work against the success of all students -- ideas that we share as Americans, and even as Unitarian Universalists. You might be surprised.

 February 5  Kwan Yin: Buddhist Goddess of Compassion

Children will be in Sanctuary for the beginning of the service. Today we begin our exploration of compassion through the wisdom, stories and practices associated with   Kwan Yin, the Buddhist Goddess "who harkens to the cries of the world."
