Volunteering

Aside from the responsibilities undertaken by our small staff, everything that happens at our church arises from the generosity of our members and friends.  We thrive to the extent that we share our time and energy with each other.

Fortunately, the relationship is reciprocal.  You thrive to the extent that you become involved.  This is a place where you can use your gifts and stretch your wings.  You get to know new people and become part of the fabric of our community.  When you become involved, you make this church your own.  You shape us and we shape you.

Each of us has different talents and passions and we bring different gifts to the congregation.  And that's a good thing.  If we all liked to make coffee...or sing in the choir...or provide childcare, the kitchen and the chancel and the nursery would get pretty crowded.  No one would be left to organize the library...or pull weeds in the garden...or prepare our budget.  There is a special place for everyone here.

Click here for our "Opportunities to Serve" form, which lists most of the volunteer opportunities at the church.  Look it over and find opportunities and challenges that appeal to you.  Print it out, fill it out, and return it to our Records Administrator, Connie Schuelka.  The person in charge of a particular activity will contact you with more information and you can decide whether it is a good fit for you.
